     Kids, Incorporated is an early intervention resource agency providing services and supports to families of children with special needs from birth to three years of age in an inclusive, typical setting and in the child’s natural environment. Eligibility is determined under criteria established by the Department of Education under Part-C guidelines, according to Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS).    

 
    Services offered are center-based early intervention and home-based early intervention.  So, what is early intervention?  Well, it is the education of children who have a developmental delay or medical diagnosis that poses a risk to their development.  We help children progress and succeed in the areas of communication, large motor, fine motor, adaptive or self-help, and social skills, as well as, empower their families with information and support.

How do we help children succeed?  We collaborate with families, therapist, and the children to develop an appropriate developmental program.  An early interventionist works with the family and demonstrates ways to encourage growth using everyday routines and play activities.  We develop a program that is individualized and unique for each child and their families, based on Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP), parent input, therapist input, and Hawaii Early Learning Profile (HELP) checklist.

We are a non-profit organization that relies on community and individual donations, as well as grants.  The Department of Special Education sponsors a grant that helps support early intervention in both Cumberland and Fentress counties.  We have an annual fundraiser and accept donates throughout the year.  If you would like to support children with special needs, please contact us.
